Soberton Parish Council serves the communities of Soberton, Soberton Heath and Newtown, together with the settlements at Hundred Acres, Kingsmead, Hoe Gate….

Parish Council Meetings 2008

The Council members meet in full session eleven times a year. Members of the public are welcome to attend the meetings. Meetings alternate between Rookesbury Hall, Newtown and Soberton Village Hall.

Parish Council Members

Council members are elected or appointed each year. Additional councillors can be co-opted as necessary. Parishioners may contact any of the Parish Councillors for help or to request that an issue be raised at the Meeting. Councillors are allocated to sub-committees and tasks at the beginning of the Council year (May/June).

Parish Council responsibilities

The Parish Council has responsibility for maintaining the recreation ground, playground and pavilion at Soberton Heath, the pond at Soberton Heath, and the chalk pit in Chalk Hill, Soberton.
